UPDATED @ 7:10 AM Reports Of Officer Involved Shooting In Henry County

HENRY COUNTY: Reports out of Henry County this morning that Henry County Sheriff Deputies were involved in a shooting about 4 AM.
Reports are deputies spotted a vehicle in the woods. The deputies stopped to check the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by a white female. Reports are the female produced a handgun towards the officers. Shots were fired and the deputies fired shots. The female was struck but reports are she did not receive life threatening injuries.
Another subject was believed to have been in the woods and fled on a four wheeler. A broadcast has been issued for the male suspect.
The scene area is reported to be on or near County Road 48.
Henry County has had several burglaries and thefts of hunting camps. Sheriff Maddox had ordered patrol stepped up in those areas working to stop and apprehend suspects in these thefts.
Henry County Sheriff Deputies and possibly agents from Alabama Bureau of Investigation are working the investigation.

Henry County Sheriff Willl Maddox and members of Henry County Sheriff Department are in the area of Thomas Mill Creek and County Road 48 searching for the suspect.
Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes has dispatched K-9 Deputies McKinney and Asbill to the area to help with the search and manhunt for the suspect.
The suspects are believed to be from the Enterprise - Coffee County area. They are believed to be suspects in other burglaries and thefts.
