DALE COUNTY:    Dale County Sheriff's and Alabama State Troopers are in a chase in the vicinity of Roy Parker Road and Hwy 27 of an ATV that is suppose to be an escaped Prisoner.

Dale County Sheriff Deputies, Ozark Police, Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Troopers, Coffee County Sheriff Deputies, ALEA Air units on the scene off Marley Mill Road. A chase was initiated around Roy Parker Road. The chase traveled down several roads and dirt roads.

Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Mason Bynum and others turned off Dale County Road 235 north of Marley Mill Road, turning onto logging road. The ATV was wrecked and the suspect fled on foot. Last seen wearing cameo with a back pack. Suspect, a white male, is completely bald, but not shaved. 

Alabama Department of Corrections K-9 Team has responded. ALEA has dispatched their air units.

Multiple agencies have area surrounded.

The suspect is believed to be an escaped prisoner who has fled other law enforcement officers. He is armed and dangerous.

K-9 Tracking teams from the prison are on the scene and have started the track. Law Enforcement has the perimeter well covered but the search are is a large one.

The track dogs have been on hot tracks. The K-9 recovered the suspects backpack. They continue to search.

Multiple law enforcement officers are on the scene. Agencies from Dale County Sheriff, Coffee County Sheriff Dave Sutton and multiple Coffee County Deputies, Ozark Police, Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Troopers, State Bureau of Zinvestigation Agents, Alabama Department of Corrections and United States Marshall's.

Law Enforcements officers from several agencies are still searching for the escape suspect. Air units from Dale and Coffee County Sheriff's are searching. Track dogs were changed out with fresh K-9's.

This escape occured a couple of weeks ago. He was the subject of a recent manhunt in Coffee County. He is considered armed and dangerous.
