UPDATED @ 9:11 AM BREAKING NEWS: Four Wheeler Accident With Two Injuries

DOTHAN:  Dothan Fire has responded to the scene of a four wheeler accident on Hodgesville Road behind the old GE Plant. There are reported to be two injuries. Two ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.

Dothan Engine 4 ( Southside ) is the first unit on the scene. The fireman were met by two people on four wheelers to carry the fireman to the injured patients. The fireman are unable to get a fire truck to the patient and probably can not get an ambulance to the patient.

Dothan Fire Batallion Chief Keith Gasiter is on the scene. Dothan Fire Brush truck has responded to attempt to gain access. Medical equipment is being transported to the patient by four whellers.

Dothan Fire is about to transport the most critical patient by foot and on the four wheeler. Chief Gassiter is backing the ambulance as far as possible.

Dothan Fire Command has instructed the communications division to notify SAMC of trauma alert. Communications has just reported to Fire Command that SAMC is on Critical Care Pattient Diviersion however has accpeted the information. Chief Gasiter has instructed communications for an answer from SAMC if they are going to be able to accpet the trauma alert patients. 

We will update. The first patient is being carried out at this time.

The first patient, a female, app. age 26 or 27, has just been loaded into the ambulance and is being transported to SAMC, emergency, trauma. The second patient is conscious ad alert with long bone fractures and is conscious ad alert. Dothan Fire working to get him from the woods to the second ambulance for transport.

Dothan Fire has reported the second patient is on the way out of the woods with the second patient. The chief coplaint is femer. Dothan Fire reports no trauma alert on the second patient as to head injuries.

All emergency equipment has been returned to service from the accident location on Hodgesville Road at Inez Road. Dothan Fire Engine 4 ( Southside ) has reported to SAMC to follow up on the patients.

UPDATED @ 8:29 AM on Sunday Morning

The female patient is in CCU at SAMC. Sources say thatshe underwent a surgery last evening because of swelling. Please keep the female and her family in your prayers.

Sources have said the doctors came in and spoke with the family and gave a good report on her condition.
