UPDATED @ 9:13 PM. DEVELOPING: Andalusia Police Ranking Officer Arrested By ABI

ANDALUSIA:   About 5:30 PM agents from the Alabama Bureau of Investigation arrested a sergeant with the Andalusia Police Department. Reports are the officer was arrested on a drug offense.


Details are not being released at this time.

As we understand, ABI might looker deeper and beyond what they have been told by Andalusia Police Department and the Covington County District Attorney Office.


All I am saying, my information is, ABI investigate, investigate, investigate.

As we understand the officer arrested is Sgt. Curry. As we understand Curry left the police department joining the Mayor's Office. Sources tell us several had issues.


Sources not related to each other are telling me that ABI needs to investigate. I am told, unconfirmed at this time, this situation does not pass the smell test. Sources say politics is alive and we'll in Covington County and they are concerned over this arrest.


The sources cautioned me. The sources state to me that they are scared and have never seen things as they are. At this time RSN is just urging ABI to make sure there are no underlying circumstances. This case could be one where out of town prosecution and judicial officials are used. That no locals to include District Attorney and Judges. Also caution to ABI not to depend on what "officials" tell you.


In fairness, all might be well with "officials". But I am getting conflicting information.


for the record, I met the DA and Sheriff only once. I do not know the Chief of Police or any Judges. But I have heard things before tonight that cause me to sound the precaution alarm.
