DOTHAN:   Multiple Dothan Police Units are on the scene of Motel Six, Ross Clark Circle West, where a male subject has barricaded himself in a room. The subject is reported to be armed.

Multiple units are on the scene.

Because of the situation we are limited about what we are going to say at this time as to what Police are doing. We will update.

Dothan Police, Houston County Sheriff and Alabama State Troopers are on the scene. Reports are following an assault a person is held up in a room. Reports are UNCONFIRMED he could have a hostage in the room.

We are giving no more details at this time because we do not know if the subject has a computer. We willl update.

The situation is still on going. Dothan Fire andn Pilcher's Ambulance have been on the scene since the beginning. A agnet of the FBI is on the scene. As more updates we will update.

The subject has surrendered to police. It ended peacefully without incident after Police talked the subject into giving up and exiting the room.

The subject had a female held up in the room with him. It was the result of a domestic incident.

All clear at Motel Six with no injuries.

On the scene was also Dothan Police Chief Greg Benton, Dothan Police Major Steve Parrish,  Dothan Police Captains David Jay and Keith Gray and multiple Dothan Police Officers, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, a ABI Agent, State Trooper and agent of the FBI along with Dothan Fire and Pilcher's Ambulance
