UPDATED: Altercation at a Dothan School Leaves One Tazed

DOTHAN: Dothan Fire and other Dothan Police have responded to a report of a altercation at Honeysuckle Middle School. The resourse officer requested fire and EMS due to someone being tazed. We do not know if the person tazed was a adult or student.


UPDATED:


Shortly before 0830 this morning, the SRO at Honeysuckle Middle School  was attempting to arrest a 15 year old male student for disorderly conduct.  As the officer was placing handcuffs on the student, the student pushed the officer away and immediately went into an aggressive, boxing style stance.  The student refused to comply with repeated requests by the officer not to resist arrest which resulted in the officer using his Department issued taser to gain compliance and complete the arrest.  The student has been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment of a public safety official
