UPDATED: Ashford Academy Rumored to be Closing

Ashford Academy will be having a carwash Friday, April 10th, from 1:00 p.m. until to help raise much needed funds for the remaing school year.


Ashford Academy staff members were informed Thursday that the school, which was founded in 1970, will be closing its doors for good at the end of this school year.


Sources say that the school's financial debt is the reason for the closure.


Several current staff members, parents and some alumni are urgently entertaining ways to help raise the funds to keep the school open.


Ashford Academy definitely needs your financial support to continue with the quality services the school has provided to the tri-state area for the past 45 years!

UPDATED: The article above about the rumored closing of AA was not and is not intended to be critical of anyone, especially those currently in-charge and affiliated with the school.  


I feel that individuals, such as myself, and the hundreds currently, and thousands previously associated with AA need to know there is possibly a problem and do all we can to help! How can anyone help fix a problem if they don't know there is one? That was the purpose of the article. To get assistance from different sources that can possibly help. 


My father, along with dozens more, put a lot of time and money into launching AA. Me and several members of my family attended and graduated from AA. I, for one, hope that AA can and will remain open forever!


THERE HAVE BEEN RUMORS that the school could possibly have to close its doors for good (from several different sources) for the past several weeks now. More recently it appears that those rumors could become a reality. A reality none want to see.


Please support Ashford Academy and their fund raisers! Past and present affiliates and alumni, let's do all we can to assist the current Board of Directors and not let this rumor become a harsh reality...
