ASHFORD:   Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey has called for mutual aid assistance to a growing grass fire.

The fire location is Pleasant Grove Road and Bruner Mill Road. Chief Posey has called for Cowarts Volunter Fire and Pansey Volunteer Fire to dispatch their grass truck and for Alabama Forrestry to be placed on stand by. Their dozier assistance might be needed.

We will update as more information is needed.

Chief Posey says 20 to 30 acres is on fire.

Chief Posey has reported the fire is out and cancelled all assistance.
