HOUSTON COUNTY:   11:57 PM.   Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a motorcycle accident at 6214 Cottonwood Road. The accident involved A Motorcycle. At least one person has been confirmed killed in the accident.


Details are being withheld pending notification  next of kin.

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash at 12 a.m. today, Sept. 24, claimed the life of a Headland man. Demetrice Laron Jackson, 39, was killed when the 2000 Suzuki Indian motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a fence. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd. The crash occurred on Alabama 53 at the 13.9 mile marker, eight miles south of Dothan. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
