DALE COUNTY:   8:17 AM.  Dale County Sheriff Deputies, Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Troopers, Echo Fire - Rescue are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

The accident is on Dale County Road 67 near County Road 16. Reports are there is one fatality.

Will post additional information as we get.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Dale County Corner Woody Hilbolt. The wreck occurred in the around day-break but where the vehicle ended up it was hard to see from the road until the sun came up.

The cause of the wreck is being investigated by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The name and photos are being with held pending the notification of next of kin.

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash today, May 31, claimed the life of a Midland City man. Jeremiah Lee East, 27, was killed when the 2000 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. East was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Dale County 67.   The preliminary investigation indicates that speed may have been a factor in the crash.  Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
