UPDATED at 11:45 AM- Structure Fire On Katie Drive In Cowarts

COWARTS:   Houston County Sheriff 911 has dispatched emergency units to 81 Katie Drive to reports of a structure fire. Reports are flames are visible in the kitchen.

Deputy Brunson is on the scene and reported smoke coming from the residence.

UPDATED # 11:45 AM

On arrival of Cowarts Fire Chief he reports flames are visible. The fire appears to have started in the kitchen area of the home. Flames did burn through the roof in the kitchen area, but fire fighters quickly got the upper hand on the fire and was able to knock down the fire. Fire fighters did a quick search of the home to confirm that everyone made it out okay. Fire fighters are doing over haul checking for any hot spots that may be hidden.
