DOTHAN: Dothan 911 dispatched police - fire - ambulance to a shooting this morning around 4 AM.
The emergency units dispatched responded to 3611 Montgomery Highway. One person that was shot had run across the street from the shooting location. Dothan Fire treated the victim and he was transported to Flowers Hospital. The victim had received gunshot wounds to the arm.
A few minutes later a second victim appeared which had also been shot in the arm. His inujuries were in the arm and were non life threatening and he was transported non emergency to Flowers Hospital.
Preliminary information is the shooter attempted admittance into a business. He wanted to speak to a person who was a former co-worker of another business and he ( the shooter ) had been terminated from the business. The former co-worker walked outside to speak to him and a fight took place. A third person attempted to break up the fight.
The shooter ( the person fired from a seperate business ) is reported to have shot the person breaking up the fight in the arm and the former co-worker in the arm. The shooter the fled the scene.
Dothan Police Criminal Investigator Chris Barbaree and other Criminal Investigators are investigating the case.
The business located at 3611 Montgomery Highway had nothing to do with the incident. In fact security had refused admittance of the shooter to the business. All incidents occured outside in the parking lot of 3611 Montgomery Higway. None of the past employment and terminations had occured at the business located at 3611 Montgomery Highway.

On January 14, 2013 at 4:43 a.m. the Dothan Police Department responded to a report of a firearm assault at Houligans, located at 3611 Montgomery Highway. Investigators are working on the case and therefore details are still limited. At this time, investigators have confirmed two victims received non-life threatening gun shot wounds, each injured in the arm, after an apparent verbal altercation with the suspect.
