UPDATED at 12:30 with ID.... Dothan Traffic Death Investigation Underway

DOTHAN:  8:38 AM.  Dothan 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident on Murphy Mill Road and JB Chapman Road. On dispatch 911 reported smoke visible.

The accident is under investigation by Dothan Police. There has been one person killed in the accident.

Investigation is underway.

Matt Boster is on the scene for RSN.

As of right now this appears to be a one vehicle accident. The vehicle ran off the road and into the woods where it struck a tree and caught fire. The fire department stated on the radio that the smoke could be seen from as far as Flowers Hospital.

The identity is being with held pending the notification of next of kin.

UPDATED @ 12:30 PM

The driver has been identified as 66 year old old Lucille Burnum.. She was pronounced dead on the scene by Dale County Deputy Coroner Frankie Wilson. The accident was in the city limits of Dothan but in Dale County.
