DEVELOPING: Reports of a Camper Explosion at Lake Tholocco that left four people injured. This area is located in the heart of Ft Rucker, so information is limited. We understand that a press release will be issued sometime later today. We swill update when we know more...

FORT RUCKER, Ala. – This morning, shortly after 9 a.m., Fort Rucker emergency officials were notified of a possible gas explosion and trailer fire at the West Beach Camp Grounds at Lake Tholocco on post. Initial reports are that four people were injured, all civilians. The injured were treated on scene and transported to a local area hospital by the U.S. Army Air Ambulance Detachment, Flatiron. The fire was extinguished by the Fort Rucker Fire Department. The cause of the incident is under investigation by Fort Rucker officials.
