DOTHAN: 7:00 am... Dothan Police were dispatched to a report of a theft at Flying J. The suspect vehicle was a silver passenger car with Georgia plates. Yesterday a silver vehicle with GA plates was reported stolen and a BOLO was issued. The manager of Flying J was following the vehicle. Dothan Police and Houston County Deputies swarmed the area and the suspects (white female and white male) ditched the vehicle and took off on foot. Dothan Police K-9 was called to track the suspects.
A short time later both suspects were taken into custody behind the old IGA at the corner of South Oates and Carroll. The vehicle was recovered on Madison Ave at Moss Street.
Thanks to the quick response of both DPD and HCSO this ended with two in custody and a recovered stolen vehicle.
