A little before 1:00 am a line of severe thunderstorms passed through Houston County with High winds, Heavy Rain and Cloud to ground lightening. Two mobile homes caught fire on Butler Road and Alex Circle.
Units from Taylor, Rehobeth and Dothan Responded to those fires, Hodgesville and Lovetown responded to a report of a house fire on Briar Hills Road with flames visible in Hodgesville.
Had Trees and Power Lines down all over Houston County with Volunteer fire departments and Houston County Road and Bridge out tending to them them trying to keep roadways clear for emergency vehicles.
Dothan responded to motorcycle vs tree on Eddins Road, Dothan Police had to direct traffic until Dothan utilities could get power responded to parts of Dothan.
It's now almost 3:00am and we are bracing for round two.
At one time most all the volunteer departments were out on calls. The Houston County Communications Center handled every call as it came in getting units where they were needed.
