HOUSTON COUNTY: A suspect has led Houston County on a high speed chase on the south east part of Houston County.
Reports are the suspect fired shots on officers during the chase. The chase reached speeds of 100 MPH.
The suspect reached Highway 84 at Tipton Road where he struck a utility pole. Live wires were down. The suspect bailed on foot running but due to the down power lines deputies could not reach him.
Dale Co Air unit responding on K-9.

Highway 84 East at Gordon is closed. Sheriff Valenza is on the scene.

One ast and West Bound lanes have been reopened to traffic, however you are asked to drive SLOW through the area. Dale County air 1 has been on scene flying over the area for about 15 mintues now. Units from Dothan, Houston County, Ashford, AST and Kinsey. Lucy and Gordon Fire are on the scene along with an ambulance from Pilcher's.

The search for the suspect has been called off, Law Enfocement knows who the suspect is so it's just a matter of time before they catch him. All units on the scene and Dale County Air 1 has gone back in service...

About 5:30 the suspect was seen across the river bridge. Deputies and a Early County Sheriff Deputies are searching.

The suspect has be caught. Around 2:00 AM Houston County Sheriff Deputies arrest the suspect on River Road as he was attempting to sneak back into Houston County.
