GENEVA COUNTY: Houston County 911 dispatched Wicksburg Fire - Rescue to a motor cycle accident on Highway 123 in Wicksburg. Shortly after dispatch Houston County 911 cancelled Wicksburg Rescue and dispatched Hartford Rescue because the accident was 1/2 mile into Geneva County outside Houston County.
Hartford Rescue responded and ended up with ambulance issues while responding. Then Wicksburg Rescue was re-dispatched to the scene and Hartford Responded also.
Reports are the accident involved only the motorcycle. Shortly after, seconds perhaps, a semi truck did not see the motorcycle in the roadway and struck the motorcycle and rider in the roadway. Reports are there is a fatality involving the motorcycle rider.
On the scene - Hartford Rescue, Wicksburg Rescue, Geneva County Sheriff Deputies, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Alabama State Troopers.
The troopers are in charge of the accident investigation.

It was 2 crashes. Joseph A Miller, 38, of Hartford was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson on AL 123 at the 9.2 mile marker at 8:25p.m. He passed at 2009 International tractor trailer and crashed five minutes later. The driver of the 2009 International did not see Mr Miller laying in the roadway and ran him over.
