Dale County: Emergency Personnel are on the scene of a car vs a log truck on US 231 North in Midland City. Reports are at least one is entrapped in the vehicle. Dothan Fire has been requested.

Dothan Fire has requested a Trauma Alert due impact was high rated of speed under a log truck. Firefighters are extricating the driver at this time.

The driver has been extricated and is being transport to the hospital by Ozark Rescue.

The accident scene is being cleaned up at this time. Midland City Police are allowing traffic to flow on Highway 231.

The accident is being investigated by Midland City Police Department. It involved a van and a log truck. Ozark Rescue was on the scene and requested Dothan Fire for extrication. The injured, one male, was conscious and talking when loaded into Ozark Rescue for transport to a Dothan Hospital.

Assisting Midland City on the scene were members of the Dale County Sheriff Department. Midland City Volunteer Fireman were also on the scene.

We are holding scene photographs for about another hour to make sure family is notified before posting the pictures.

Article updated with scene photographs. The patient is in much more critical condition than thought on the scene. There is a chance the patient might be air lifted to a Birmingham Hospital.
