HOUSTON COUNTY: Multiple Fire units from responded to a report of a structure fire at Metal Works (Old Mims Truck Stop)in Cowarts. The first unit on scene advised smoke visible. Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded along with an ambulance. The road the fire is located on is closed due to emergency equipment and supply line blocking the road.
Rickey is responding for RSN.

Firefighters are attacking the fire that appears to have gotten into the roof area of the structure.
Wiregrass Electric responded and cut the power so fireman could put fire out. According to people on the scene it appeared to be a lightning strike.
Cowarts Fire, Ashford Fire, Houston County Sheriff, Ashford Rescue, Webb Police and Ashford Police responded.
