OZARK: Ozark Fire, Ozark Police and Ozark Rescue are on the scene of a serious accident with injuries involving a motorcycle on Logan Road at Foxbriar.

One person is confirmed dead at the scene. Ozark Police are investigating at this time. No more information is available at this time.


The Ozark Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle versus motorcycle at 1837 hours. The crash occurred on Will Logan Rd in the area of Fox Brier Dr. within the city limits of Ozark. An Ozark resident, David Andrew Whatley 28 year old male was killed during the crash.

Whatley was the driver of the motorcycle (2007 Kawasaki XP600 model) and crashed head on into the other vehicle involved. Whatley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Dale Medical Center with non- life threatening injuries and later released.

The crash is still under investigation by the Ozark Police Department. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor of the crash.
