UPDATED at 840 AM Motor Vehicle Accident With Entrappment

MIDLAND CITY:    8:01 AM.  There is a bad accident on Highway 231 and County Road 63 at BBQ place in Midland City. Reports are heavy Entrapment. Wiregrass Lifeflight has been requested to the scene along with Dothan Fire to assist with the patients.

Parts of Highway 231 will be closed in that area for Lifeflight to land.

The driver of the passenger car was airlifted to a Dothan Hospital due to their injuries. The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital in Ozark and then to the Dale County Jail. The driver of the SUV was traveling South on County Road 63 when he allegedly ran a stop sign t-boning a vehicle that was traveling south on US 231.

Responding agencies were Midland City Fire, Midland City Police, Pinkard Fire and Pinkard Police, Dale County Sheriff's Office, Dothan Fire, Pilcher's and Wiregrass Life Flight.
