UPDATED at 9:08 PM... Deputies in Pursuit in Ford County

DOTHAN:  At 8:48 PM... Houston County Deputies attempted to stop a motorcycle thru the street of Ford country. The driver has wrecked out in the 600 block of South Range Street and now is on foot in the wood line. The subject is now on foot around the railroad tracks near Selma Street.

The subject has fled from deputies over multiple streets before bailing on foot. The suspect even turned off his lights attempting to elude deputies.

Deputies and Dothan Police have set up a perimeter around the area looking for the subject. Houston County Vice units are searching the wood line. Dothan Police K-9 is tracking the suspect.

The suspect is a black male last seen wearing blue jeans with a black jacket with white stripe.

Police and Deputies have the suspect in custody at this time.

The chase was on several streets in Ford Country. Some of the streets were Mustang Street, Selma Street, Grant Street, Eugene Street, Third Avenue and Morris Street.

On Morris Street when the motorcycle hit the dirt part he laid the bike down and fled on foot. But the suspect was taken into custody.

As the chase went down Eugene Street some people outside yelled at law enforcement that the motorcycle rider was getting away from them.

Dothan Fire responded to check the patient. Dothan Police assisted in the foot search and apprehension. Only Houston County Sheriff Deputies were in the actual chase.
