Barbour County, AL: It is reported that this morning, Barbour County Sheriff Leroy Upshaw, was hunting and fell 30 feet out of a tree stand. It is reported the Sheriff crawled back to his truck and called one of his deputies. Upshaw was transported by ambulance to a Columbus, Georgia hospital. Reports are the Sheriff does not have any broken bones, just very sore.
UPDATED: The Barbour County Jail has just emailed me and said that Sheriff Upshaw is home but is very sore.
