BELLWOOD, AL: I have received information that a critical crash has occurred on Alabama State Highway 167 at the intersection of Alabama Highway 167 and Geneva County Road 41. This is Hartford Rescue's jurisdiction for EMS response. I believe they are on scene, but I believe they have requested the assistance of Enterprise Rescue. I do know Enterprise Rescue is enroute to the crash via radio traffic. I have also received information that one vehicle is flipped. Geneva County Sheriff's Deputies are also on scene.
If anyone has pictures, please send to 334-449-8415 or [email protected]
UPDATED: I have received pictures but I will be holding them until we have a condition on the injuries. Two Hartford Fire-Rescue Ambulances are on scene from what I can tell in the pictures. PLEASE AVOID THIS AREA!!! The road is closed and will be for a period of time. We will update soon.
UPDATED @ 7:30: I will be holding the pictures of the scene for a few hours where family can be notified of the ones involved in the crash. The crash DOES NOT involve a fatality a this time. Geneva County Coroner Hagler Ward has advised he has not been contacted to respond to the crash. At least three victims are in critical condition and were transported to a local hospital (probably Flowers or Southeast) under a "Trauma Alert". I have placed a call with the Alabama State Trooper's Dothan Post to speak with a Public Information Officer. We will update with further information as soon as we can. The crash is being investigated by the Alabama State Troopers.
UPDATED: Pictures have been posted. We are still waiting on a call from the Alabama State Trooper Public Information Officer.
UPDATED @ 9:35: The Alabama State Trooper Public Information Officer has just called me. He did inform me that at least one of the injured has life-threatening injuries. No other information is available. Our prayers are with all of the victims and families of the victims that were involved in the crash.
