Updated: Shortly after my arrival Ino Volunteer Fire Department and Oppurtunity EMS had patient on the stretcher ready to trasnport to a nearby hay field for a helicopter to land to carry the patient to a hospital. Ino Volunteer Fire Department drove up the road to set up a landing zone. I followed them to the hay field where the landing zone was set up. I then started to see fire fighters go to the field and stack the cones back up and the ambulance leave. I drove to where the fire fighters were and asked them what was going on. They said the patient was being transported to Enterprise Medical Center to a Trauma Center. An Alabama State Trooper arrived at around 7:45. Officials on the scene stated that the patient was conscious and was talking to EMS Personnel. The accident may have been caused by a medical condition. Reports were the patient was a diabetic. The patient has been in the creek, overturned, with water running through the cab of the vehicle, since 9:30 P.M. YESTERDAY 6/26/2012! Truly a miracle that this man is still alive. Someone was watching over him...
