UPDATED FATALITY: Enterprise Police Investigating Accident Involving Pedestrian

Enterprise, AL: Late Saturday night, Enterprise Police, Fire, and Rescue were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 84 near the Nissan Dealership. The accident was involving a vehicle and pedestrian. When Enterprise Police arrived on scene they found a female subject in the roadway that had been struck by a vehicle.

It is reported that a vehicle was preparing to turn into an Apartment Complex when the vehicle struck a female that was standing in the roadway. The vehicle did NOT flee the scene of the accident. No charges have been filed against the driver.

The female has been identified as Lilian Santelices-Retamal of Enterprise, Alabama. Lilian was transported via Flat Iron to Southeast Alabama Medical Center with Critical Injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Enterprise Police Department.

 

UPDATED: We have confirmed that Lilian Santelices-Retama, 21, was pronounced deceased after sustaining critical injuries from the crash Saturday night.
