.DALE COUNTY:  EMS units are responding to a reported head on collision on Hwy 231 and Hwy 51 in Dale County. No word at this time on injuries.

Will update when we have more information.

UPDATED @ 4:30 PM

Dale County Sheriff Deputies and Alabama State Troopers are on the scene. Ozark EMS is responding. Ariton Rescue and Ariton fire are on scene and have requested two more ambulances from other departments. It has been confirmed there is entrapment, both vehicle recieved HEAVY damage.

All three patients are trauma alerts,  traffic in the North Bound lanes are at a stand still, the South Bounds lanes are flowing slowly. If you are traveling in this area please SLOW down and use caution.
