Houston County Sheriff's Office Jail Commander Keith Reed attempted to take a black female into custody in the jail parking lot. The suspect had a warrant outstanding. The suspect fled in a black SUV, driving erratically heading west on Main Street.

The pursuit ended at South Oates and Southport when the suspect ran a stop sign and crashed with another vehicle. The vehicle she struck then crashed into a third vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended by deputies.

Dothan Fire and Pilcher's checked out all of the victims, but none needed to be transported. The suspect, however, was transported to jail and now faces multiple charges to include numerous traffic offenses and attempting to elude.
