UPDATED Jan. 21 : Slocomb Fire on Scene of Brush Fire

Slocomb, AL: Slocomb Fire is on scene of a brush fire on White Oak Road. The fire is reported to have caught back up after firefighters were dispatched to the scene earlier today. It is reported that approximately one acre burnt earlier today. It is unknown how much is on fire at this time. We will update when more information becomes available.


 


UPDATED: Slocomb Fire did request Fadette Volunteer Fire Department to respond to the scene for mutual aid. Slocomb Fire has since cancelled Fadette Volunteer Fire. Slocomb Fire does have the fire under control at this time. Slocomb EMS has also been busy today with all three of their trucks being in Dothan at one time. Slocomb EMS started getting busy today around lunch time and started calming down at around 3:00 p.m. Hope those guys get a good nights rest!


 


UPDATED @ 7:48 P.M. : Reports are an old trailer also burned in the fire. It is unknown if the trailer was a trailer someone lived in.


 


UPDATED Jan. 21: It is reported that no one lived in the trailer that burnt earlier in Slocomb. It was an old vacant trailer.
