On January 9, 2015 at approximately 11:40 pm the Dothan Police Department responded to the A W Herndon Citgo gas station, located at 1817 Montgomery Highway after receiving an alert that the robbery alarm had been activated.
Upon the arrival of the first officer, a subject wearing all black clothing was observed exiting the store and running towards North Park Avenue. That information was passed to additional officers arriving in the area who immediately began searching for the suspect. An individual matching the suspect description was seen behind a business in the 1000 block of North Park Avenue and began running after the officer attempted to make contact. The subject ran into a gated, wooded area, where he was found hiding near a trailer home after a department canine led officer’s to his location.
The suspect was found to be in possession of a large amount of United States currency, believed to have been taken from the gas station after it was confirmed that the business was robbed. The suspect has been identified as 17 year old Jordan Robinson, who investigators say will be charged as an adult for Robbery.
- Jordan Reshon Robinson, black male, 17 years of age, of Jeff Street was arrested and charged with first degree Robbery. A bond hs been set at $250,000.00.
