Samson, AL: Samson Fire is responding to a report of a woods fire on Alabama State Highway 52 near Gallberry Road. Smoke can be seen from the Battens Community in Coffee County. First unit on scene advising it will be hard for firefighters to get to the fire. Samson now advising need for mutual aid from Flat Creek Fire.

UPDATED: It was later found the fire was a controlled burn. All Samson and Flat Creek Fire Units are back in service awaiting the next call.
