DALE COUNTY:   8:30 AM.  Dale County Sheriff Deputies, Midland City Police, Alabama State Troopers are on the scene of a motor vehicle crash. The accident scene is in the 9500 block of South County Road 67 out from Midland City.


There is someone killed in the crash.


Dale County Coroner Woodie Hildbolr is on the scene.

DOTHAN POST -- A single-vehicle crash early this morning, June 26, has claimed the life of a Dothan woman. Shantawe Angelic Hamilton, 23, was killed when the 2008 Nissan Altima she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Hamilton, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt. The crash occurred on Dale County 67 one mile north of Midland City. The preliminary investigation indicates that speed may have been a factor in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
