DOTHAN: Dothan 911 Center dispatched a structure fire at 10:11 PM at 2211 Norwood Drive. Dothan 911 reported the back porch was on fire.
Dothan Fire Engine 4 ( Southside ) as the first engine on the scene. As they turned off Ross Clark Circle onto Cottonwood Road responding to the fire Engine 4 reported flames were visible.
The fire was on the back porch. Smoke was coming from the eaves of the house. Dothan Fire Engines laid fire hose lines from the hydrant to the residence. All residents were directed by 911 to evacuate.
The fire ( flames ) was mostly confinied to the back porch. The entire home suffered smoke damage.
A Dothan Fire Marshall was called to the scene which is a normal practice to all fires where major damage.
Pilcher's Ambulance was on the scene standing by for the sfety of the fireman. Dothan Police were on the scene.
10:53 PM Dothan Utilities has arrived on the scene to cut all power to the residence.
NOTE: The livecam video is done from the cell phone. You see as I arrive and am getting video camera and radios from car and walking approaching the fire. Sorry it is poor video quality but you are getting real time as I arrive.
