Updated with Pics and Video: Now in custody - Dothan Police in Foot Pursuit of Larceny Suspect

Dothan Police are chasing a suspect who has headed in to the woods near Rock Creek apartments on 231 north.
The suspect was being detained by officers for a larceny committed at the Shell Station next to the Burger King on 231 north. (Update: The suspect is alleged to have committed the larceny at Belk's. Police first made contact with the suspect and attempted to detain him at the Shell station.) The suspect escaped and fled. The suspect is reported to be a light complected male wearing a white "wife beater" shirt or possibly no shirt and o.d. pants. He is light complected and has red hair.
Officers have the suspect in sight.
Dothan K-9 has been called to the scene for tracking.
Updated at 11:19: The suspect has been pursued to the vicinity of Whatley Drive. The subject was seen getting in to a car, and then getting out.
Updated at 11:23: Houston County Sheriff's Office bloodhounds are tracking the suspect.
Updated at 11:38: Suspect may be locked in a room in a residence near where he was seen getting in and out of a cars. The room is reported to have firearms and ammunition in it.
Updated at 11:40 - The suspect is now in custody. He will now likely face Robbery charges, along with numerous other charges. The chase ended at the 200 block of Whatley Drive. Dothan Fire/Rescue has been dispatched for a medical call, "non-emergency".
The incident began at Belk's where the suspect is reported to have assaulted a loss prevention officer and then fled. Dothan police first encountered the suspect at the Shell station north of the mall and the chase was on!
