DOTHAN: Dothan Police and Dothan Fire are on the scene of a death on South Park Avenue near Fortner Street intersection. In fact the 900 block of South Park Avenue.
Police are investigating the death. They do not know if foul play is involved or not. The Police have called the violent crimes unit to the scene to investigate.
Dothan Police have closed the 900 block of South Park while conducting the investigation.
John Keppy and Matt Boster are on the scene for RSN.

Sources have confirmed the possibility the scene is a possible robbery - murder. AS more information develops we will update.

The business name is Dedert's Furniture and Antiques on South Park Avenue at Fortner Street. The road will be closed for several hours.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has been called to the scene of the death.
UPDATE:
The victim is Grace Bell Bridges, 69 years old, of Dothan. The died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Dothan Police Chief Greg Benton has deployed all investigative resources to work on this murder. Chief Benton had the violent crimes unit on the scene and crime scene investigators combing the area. Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes was on the scene along with Sheriff resources to assist Dothan.
Dothan Police Captains Steve Parrish, Larry Draughon and Tommy Martin were on the scene working with investigators.
Houston - Henry County District Attorney Doug Valeska was on the scene. Valeska has offerred a $ 10,000 reward from the District Attorney's Office, $ 1,000 from CRIMESTOPPERS and will be asking the Governor's Office for $ 5,000 reward money for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this crime.
