Updated with video: House Fire In Ashford- Fully Involved

Ashford Fire Dept , Cowarts Vol Fire , Pansey Vol Fire and Lovetown Vol. Fire are on the scene of a House fire that is fully involved off 84 East and Cosby Rd . Fire Fighters are having to transport water to the scene. Dispatch is reporting that this is a large Home .

Dothan Fire Department has been dispatched to the scene of the fire in Ashford for assistance. Engine 5 from the East side of Ross Clark Circle is responding to assist and battalion Chief Johnny Givens is responding to assist.

Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey says heavy fire in roof, heavy smoke downstairs and unknown if the house of occupied. Chief Posey told Dothan Fire manpower is needed.

Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey has called Cottonwood Fire to Bring their Tanker to the scene.

UPDATE NO 3 @ 11:00 AM

Ashford Police Chief Jim Stanley was the first on the scene. Chief Stanley says the back of the house was on fire. It has been determined no one was home at the time of the fire.

Alabama State Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.

Update # 4

Despite the best efforts of fire fighters the house is a total loss. Water was a big issue in controlling the fire. Multiple units had responded to help with shuttle water to the fire scene. Fire fighters had to contend with the heat from the weather and the fire it self. Firefighters were getting fatigued from the heat.
