Vernon man arrested on Drug Charges

After receiving information regarding the possible production of Methamphetamine at a Chipley residence, members of the Washington County Drug Task Force, which consist of the Chipley Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office traveled to the suspected residence at 762 Pecan Street.  Upon arriving task force members were given consent to search the residence.  Officers found that, Zachary Glenn Matthews, 20, of Vernon was in possession of an amount of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.  Also located at the residence were several "Shake and Bake" bottles used in the production of methamphetamine.  Zachary Glenn Matthews was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on charges following the search of the residence.
