Wal-Mart – Santa – Ashford Elementary

Ashford - Today while special needs students stood on the sidewalk at Ashford Elementary School they watched as a convoy of Wal-mart trucks pulled up. This is the third year for Wal-Mart’s Heart Program to bring Santa to the School. Santa has come every year for the past three years bring gifts for each student.

 

Each child gets the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap and he will reads what they want for Christmas, then they receive a gift from Santa. The children enjoy this event every year; the driver’s and other volunteers enjoy it just as much.

 

I have also been blessed to be able to attend these events every year and it is so wonderful to see the reaction of these students when Santa comes.
