Wallace SGA Raises Funds for Food Bank

Dothan, Ala. – Spring was in the air during the recent Wallace Community College Spring Fling on the Wallace Campus, and WCC students responded generously to the Spring Fling Food Drive to benefit the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank. Thanks to student, staff, and faculty support, the Student Government Association was able to raise $650 and collect 414 pounds of food. The monies raised plus the collected food will create 7,363 pounds of food, enough for 5,966 meals, according to Julie Gonzalez, development director for the food bank.
