Walton County School Bus Crash

A 2003 International Walton County School bus was backing out of a private driveway located at the end of Billy Joe Godwin Road. The driver of the Walton County School bus failed to see a tree that was behind the bus. The right rear of the school bus struck a large Pine Tree. There were 15 children on board the bus at the time of the crash. Two children were released to their parents with minor injuries. The driver of the school bus, Avis Boone-Paul,  was charged with improper backing. The crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
