Walton County Sheriff’s Office Locates Meth Lab in DeFuniak Springs; Makes Three Arrests

Walton County, FL: On February 8, 2013 the Walton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an active methamphetamine lab located at 310 Cat Island Road in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Upon investigation of the report, items conducive with the methamphetamine manufacturing process were discovered in the residence.
A search warrant was obtained for the location by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit, and upon execution of the warrant and thorough search of the residence; an actively cooking methamphetamine lab was recovered. There was an excess of 200 grams of methamphetamine oil recovered along with a few grams of finished methamphetamine product ready to ingest. Also recovered during the search was necessary chemicals used in the manufacturing process, a small amount of marijuana and several items of paraphernalia including cooking vessels, smoking devices and hypodermic syringes.
Three subjects residing at the residence located at 310 Cat Island Road DeFuniak Springs, Florida were arrested. Rachel Beth Parker (DOB 5/9/1985), Ryan Marshall Phillips (DOB 10/26/1974), and David Peterson (DOB 10/16/1958); all three were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking Methamphetamine in excess of 200 grams, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams and Possession of Narcotics Equipment.
All three were arrested without incident and transported to the Walton County Department of Corrections where bond will be set at first appearance.
