The Dothan Police Department is seeking the help of our local community in locating several persons WANTED for unrelated crimes. Police are asking anyone with information about the cases or location of the suspects to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.

Tyrone Laray Sanders, black male, 23 years of age, of Tacoma Street is WANTED for First Degree Burglary. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

UPDATED @ 8:56 AM on March 5, 2013

On Monday Sanders turned himself into A - Advantage Bonding based on the posting of his being wanted by Dothan Police Department. The investigator that we needed to turn Sanders into was not on duty. It was the decision of A - Advantage Bonding to let Sanders come in this morning when the investigator was on duty and surrender himself to the Dothan Police Department.

This morning Melvin, Rickey Stokes went to Sanders residence and picked him up. Sanders had already called us before 8 AM wanting to know when we would be there in order for him to turn himself into the custody of the Police.

Sanders did this knowing there was a $ 250,000.00 bond on himself and he would remain in the Dothan City Jail and Houston County Jail until a bond hearing could be set.

Burglary in the first degree is a Class A felony. As prescribed by law the bond range is not to exceed $ 60,000.00 without just cause. often times has become routine, the bond is set far exceeding the bond schedule and is set at $ 250,000.00.

Bond is not meant as punishment for the crime charged but to secure appearance of the defendant in court.

Picture 2 is Sanders in the lobby of Dothan Police Department as he was turned into Dothan Police.
