A 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer, and a 2001 Dodge Ram were southbound on State Road 79. The Blazer slowed for a left turn onto Holmes Valley Road, The Blazer stopped in the southbound lane waiting for northbound traffic to clear before attempting the left turn. The driver of the motorcycle failed to see the vehicle standing in the lane, The driver of the motorcycle steered to the right in an effort to miss the vehicle. The motorcycle struck the right rear corner of the Blazer with it’s front end immediately ejected both driver and passenger from the motorcycle. Both were ejected onto the West shoulder where they came to final rest. The Dodge Ram was following the motorcycle and steered to the right in an effort to avoid colliding with the motorcycle and the Blazer. The Dodge struck the motorcycle after it had ejected both rider and passenger and had fallen onto its right side. The motorcycle was redirected as a result of the contact with the Dodge and came to final rest on the west shoulder facing west. The Dodge slid to a stop on the west shoulder and came to final rest facing south. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Next of kin was notified by Trooper McNabb at 1:36 pm this date, making contact with the driver of the motorcycle’s  wife.
