Washington County Drug Task Force ’Round Up’

The Washington County Drug Task Force consisting of the Chipley Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports the successful end of an extensive and lengthy investigation into the sell, possession and use of illegal drugs. 

The investigation included search warrants, controlled undercover buys, and controlled sell of illegal narcotics.  Large quantities of marijuana, cocaine, “crack” cocaine, methamphetamines, and listed chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines were confiscated. 

In addition, vehicles and money were seized and the Drug Task Force will seek forfeiture of these items. 

“This investigation will have a far reaching effect on illegal drug activities both city and countywide” states Chief Crews.  “These types of cases are not built overnight, but as a result of the public working in conjunction with law enforcement to protect the place we call home.  This is one of the single most important things we can do, coming together to make our community a safer place to live.”

Robin Derrick Collins, Jr. 26 year old white male of Chipley, FL

Alton Roulhac, Jr. 45 year old black male of Chipley, FL

·         Possession of “Crack” Cocaine with Intent to Distribute

·         Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

·         Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

“There is no way to give the adequate credit due to the officers that were involved in this investigation” states Sheriff Haddock.  ”Numerous officers from investigations to patrol, worked seamlessly to bring these cases to a successful end.  Our success is not made up of one or two, but every officer, from both the Chipley Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office working beyond expected effort and giving 110%.”  

Additional arrests are expected of individuals that are currently at large and are being actively sought at the time of this release.
