Webb Police Chief Chris Jerkins was dispatched to a residence on Hickory Court at approximately 3:15PM in reference to an alledged assault involving two suspects. Upon arrival, Chief Jerkins proceeded to conduct an investigation into the occurrence and learned that one of the alledged suspects had a confirmed outstanding misdemeanor warrant from another agency. That subject was searched prior to being taken into custody and it was discovered that the male subject, Charles Edward Slocumb, 40 of Webb, had what was believed to be methamphetamine in his pocket. After accompanying the male subject into the residence, the female suspect, Candace Lynn Waller, 28 of Webb, was located and it was discovered that a confirmed outstanding felony warrant was in effect for her. Both subjects were taken into custody, and the female was turned over to The Houston County Sheriff's Department. Charles Slocumb was booked into The Houston County jail on a $10,000 bond for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class C felony in Alabama.
