Samson, AL: Everyone often thinks that this world is just full of bad and hatred. Well, though I know it is rapidly getting worse, there is a lot of good still left. This morning, Samson Police Sergeant Keith Shehee was dispatched to a report of a missing child. Officer Shehee quickly responded tote residence an started calling for additional units to respond to help locate the child.

The child was 3 years old. 34 Central quickly dispatched Geneva County Sheriff's Deputies to the scene to help locate the child. In the meantime, a family member posted up a description of the boy on Facebook. The post immediately went viral. I was enroute from Enterprise to help locate when I got halfway there and 34 Central came across the radio and announced child has been located by 3405 (Josh Meyers-Geneva County Sheriff's Deputy). I still responded to the scene.

When I arrived on scene the family was outside with the boy. People were walking around the neighborhood looking for the boy. Someone even told a Wiregrass Electric Cooperative Worker and he stopped what he was doing and started searching the streets on his truck. This is the good that I am talking about. Everyone reaching out in the Facebook community by reposting the status that the family member had posted, or by reading and walkin outside to help search. The child was located in the house in a bathroom under a sink. (I think he wanted to play hide and go seek)
