A low crime rate is one of the major factors people consider when deciding where to move and that's why Niche, a website that helps people during a relocation, has gathered information on the safest suburbs in Alabama. The rankings are based on the number of assaults and burglaries and the rate of violent crimes.
Here are their 13 safest suburbs in Alabama:
- Taylor (Houston County)
- Hokes Bluff (Etowah Country)
- Helena (Shelby County)
- Southside (Etowah County)
- Vestavia Hills (Jefferson County)
- Satsuma (Mobile County)
- Trinity (Morgan County)
- Pelham (Shelby County)
- Alabaster (Shelby County)
- Moody (St. Clair County)
- Hartselle (Morgan County)
- Glencoe (Etowah County)
- Mountain Brook (Jefferson County)
Interestingly enough, none of Alabama's suburbs were safe enough to be included in the top 100 in the country.
