I travel all over the Wiregrass covering news for RSN. I’ve been to virtually every city around here and met a lot of great men and women….Met a bunch of bad ones too! No city is off limits.
I love covering drama and holding people’s feet to the fire. ESPECIALLY POLITICIANS!!! Election time is right around the corner, and drama sells.
I also hear a lot of rumors and I have done some digging in the good ole City of Progress….and my ears have percked up to what I seen and heard.
I saw on twitter and on Facebook and several blog posts by a guy named Stan Stinson (I assume their spokesperson) about a group called “Take Back Enterprise”. This group is promoting bringing back open government and transparency to the Enterprise city government.
However, after doing more digging, and tlking with some business owners there, everything this group is doing has been fairly quiet. Some support it, some hate it.
I’ve heard about a few meetings at hotels where the group is rolling out their agenda…and other people are giving money to support their cause and to support potential candidates in 2016.
I plan on doing some more digging into this group “Take Back Enterprise” and I want to know what their goal is for Enterprise… Who started it, why, whats the plan, how much money have they raised, etc.
I may be wrong but from the outside looking in, that City has it together….While businesses all over the Wiregrass are closing, Enterprise is thriving. If you want to do business in South Alabama, apparently Enterprise has a leg up on everyone.
So I want to find out more about this group and that Stinson guy.
My question to the group, "What are you trying to take back?"
