Wicksburg Fire/Rescue graduates first ever EMT-B class

On June 19, 2015 Wicksburg Fire/Rescue graduated its
first ever EMT-B class. The class was started in February
and they have worked so hard to finish and Friday night they
did just that. Wicksburg Fire/Rescue graduated eleven
students Friday night. The class was a multi county effort.

Southeast Alabama EMS, Denise Louthane and
Margie Cole, for helping us get the class approved.
Dale County Medical Center in Ozark and Wiregrass
Memorial Hospital in Geneva for letting the students
do clinicals in their emergency rooms. Hartford Rescue,
Geneva Rescue, Pilchers Ambulance Service and Dothan Fire
for teaching the students what it’s like to work in the back
of an ambulance. We would like to thank Rhonda Thomley,
Wanda Seals, Ludell Edmondson, Danny Shiver,
Ryne Andrews, and Tom Haney who helped proctor and
test the students on their skills. Also a big thank you to
Sarah Trawick and Kolton Dickerson for being our patients
throughout the class. We owe a great deal of thanks to
the instructors of the class was Tony Herring, Jeffrey Atkins,
Taylor Robison, and Wanda Andress. If you know any of
these students please take the time to congratulate them
